Faith Theological Seminary is Fully Accredited

On Friday, October 2, 2026, Faith Theological Seminary reached a historic milestone with the completion of its accreditation process through the Association of Reformed Theological Seminaries (ARTS). Because ARTS is an institutional accrediting organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), Faith Theological Seminary is now listed by CHEA among the institutions accredited by ARTS. This achievement represents the culmination of years of prayer, perseverance, institutional rebuilding, and extraordinary work by the Seminary’s Board of Directors, administration, faculty, staff, and supporters. The process required Faith to examine and strengthen virtually every area of the institution—including governance, academic programs, assessment, faculty qualifications and evaluation, student services, institutional policies, financial sustainability, strategic planning, and educational effectiveness. It is especially significant considering the Seminary’s reorganization and new beginning in Catonsville in 2019. Faith Theological Seminary

CHEA granted recognition to ARTS in May 2024, affirming ARTS as an institutional accreditor whose standards and processes meet CHEA’s expectations for academic quality, improvement, and accountability. CHEA Faith’s successful completion of the ARTS process therefore represents much more than the receipt of a credential—it is an external affirmation of the Seminary’s commitment to academic quality, institutional integrity, continuous improvement, and faithful theological education.

Going forward, accreditation strengthens Faith Theological Seminary’s credibility and provides a stronger foundation for institutional growth, student recruitment, academic partnerships, and the recognition of the work of its faculty and graduates. For students, it adds meaningful external validation to the education and degrees they receive. For faculty and staff, it recognizes the tremendous effort invested in developing rigorous academic programs and sustainable institutional practices.

Most importantly, accreditation gives Faith a stronger platform from which to pursue its mission: “To equip disciples to proclaim Christ to all the world.” Faith Theological Seminary

October 2, 2026, therefore marks not simply the end of an accreditation process, but the beginning of a new chapter in the history of Faith Theological Seminary. It is an occasion to thank God and to recognize the many individuals whose faithful, often behind-the-scenes work helped bring the Seminary to this important moment.
